Dr. Jeffrey Diamond was raised in San Diego and graduated from UC San Diego (2008) and UCLA School of Dentistry (2014). After dental school, Dr. Diamond completed a residency program in Advanced General Dentistry at the VA Medical Center in Long Beach, CA, where he gained extensive experience with complex restorative dentistry, implants, and full mouth reconstruction. Dr. Diamond has been the solo owner of his practice since 2017.
While at UCLA, Dr. Diamond met his wife, Emily, Palo Alto native who works full-time as an academic research scientist. They have two children: Evan (born 2018) and Sloane (born 2020). They live in the Emerald Hills area of Redwood City and are grateful to be part of the RWC and Los Altos communities.
Dr. Diamond is a member of the Mid-Peninsula Dental Society, California Dental Association, and American Dental Association. He is dedicated to learning and enjoys connecting with colleagues via study groups and continuing education. Dr. Diamond is active in Peninsula Dental Academy and Northern California Academy of Dental Research, and has stayed connected to UCLA through their continuing education programs. In 2023, he graduated from the Kois Center in Seattle, an advanced training institute for dentists focused on high-level, evidence-based dentistry.
In his free time, Dr. Diamond’s favorite thing to do is hike among the redwoods with his family. He is an aspiring amateur chef, and enjoys mountain biking, basketball, swimming, and all kinds of DIY home improvement projects.

JULIE LOYA
OFFICE MANAGER
Julie joined the team in 1989 and now has over 36 years of experience working in dentistry. She has the proven skill set to oversee daily business operations, and to efficiently manage scheduling, insurance claims, administrative tasks and much more. Julie is a compassionate listener and a clear communicator. She takes pride in her attention to detail and loves working with both people and numbers, so her role with this practice is the perfect fit. Outside the office, she enjoys cooking, spending time with her family, friends and her dogs.
Vivian Soepa
REGISTERED DENTAL HYGIENIST
Vivian grew up in Orange County, earned a bachelor’s degree from UC Santa Cruz, and later a dental hygiene degree from Foothill College in 2014. She went on to complete her master’s degree in education and taught as a dental hygiene clinical instructor at Foothill College for 7 years prior to starting a family. Vivian is passionate about fostering long-term relationships with her patients and finds joy in coaching them to achieve excellent oral health. In her free time, Vivian enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, their two boys – Jayden (born in 2021) and Cameron (born in 2023), and their two dogs Daisy and Luna. They reside in Campbell and have enjoyed calling the South Bay their home for the last 14 years.
Angie Alpert
REGISTERED DENTAL HYGIENIST
Angelica (Angie) Alpert joined our practice in April 2026, bringing a proven track record of excellence in high-quality dental settings. She is compassionate, highly skilled, and an exceptional communicator – fluent in English, Spanish, and Russian.
Angie earned her degree in dental hygiene from NYU in 2006 and has worked in the dental field since 1998. A Bay Area native, she lives in Redwood City with her husband and their two daughters, both competitive dancers. Sasha is a freshman at Woodside High School and Alexia will attend the University of Arizona this fall.
Judy Schmetz
REGISTERED DENTAL HYGIENIST (RETIRED)
After 25 years of dedicated service in our office (10 with Dr. Diamond), Judy has retired as of April 2026. It’s bittersweet for her, our patients and our team. Thank you for the gratitude and kindness you have shown her as she navigates this transition. Judy will be coming around from time to time as a patient and friend.
GLADYS “GG” ESCUTIA
REGISTERED DENTAL ASSISTANT IN EXTENDED FUNCTION
GG is our highly skilled and dedicated Registered Dental Assistant who works side-by-side with Dr. Diamond taking care of patients. GG was born and raised in the Bay Area, the youngest of four children. She has been passionate about the dental field for as long as she can remember, and since her career began in 2007, GG has been constantly committed to learning and expanding her scope of knowledge and competence. She earned her RDA license from Silicon Valley Technical Education in 2015. In 2023, she completed a rigorous night and weekend program in advanced dental assisting (RDAEF) through University of the Pacific. GG has an amazing 18 year old son named Junior. They share a love for Giants baseball, Star Wars, and traveling to new and exciting places.
FERNANDO TRUJILLO
ASSISTANT & STERILIZATION TECH
Since 2016, Fernando has been dedicated to his role as a dental assistant for Dr. Diamond, where he’s honed his skills and passion for patient care. His life outside of work is intentionally balanced, rooted in an active lifestyle that includes pickleball and regular gym workouts. Fernando is deeply connected to his faith, and finds great joy in attending church. Most of all, spending quality time with his children is the greatest source of happiness and fulfillment in life.
